I have been making 1/24th scale toilet rolls for a while now – Similar to the way you show but I just roll the inner tube from paper between my fingers. I have been trying to find pink tissues so I can make pink toilet rolls but these seem to have become extinct now, at least here in the UK. When I was younger we could get boxes of rainbow tissues – several different colour in one box. Using toilet roll is not much use as it falls apart as soon as it gets any glue on it, although someone did suggest using a glue stick as this isn’t wet.
I found your blog though a random search so I’m off to read more.
